Alfa Romeo Giulia super rally car, year 1971. Colour yellow (Giallo Ginestra 258) with red striping over the length of the bodywork. Dark blue leather rally interior (special seats with superb lateral support and head rests), dark blue carpet and protective rubber floor mats. This fantastic Alfa Romeo rally car was professionally and perfectly built and prepared.
The automobile is in superb condition and the car drives and handles perfectly! The car features a slightly tuned 1962 cc engine with Colombo & Bariani camshafts (140 bhp and 180 Nm torque). The engine is fitted with electronic 123 ignition, twin ignition coils (one back-up) and a modified exhaust system. Furthermore, the car is fitted with a limited-slip differential, full 6-point roll cage, standard safety belts and 4-point safety harnesses, hydraulic hand-brake with special locking mechanism, sports steering wheel, start/ stop button on the dashboard, Halda Twinmaster, Monit G100 digital twinmaster with hand and foot switch, Big Digit digital stop-watch, Wayfinder compass, flexible and dimmable map reading light, 2 x 12V sockets on the dashboard, extra foot operated wiper switch on the floor + interval position, OMP foot-support for the navigator, extra air-horn, 2 kg fire-extinguisher and a main power switch in the interior. The exterior sports 2 Cibiƫ lamps on a stainless-steel accessory bar, extra Hella lamp at the rear and towing-lugs at the front and the rear. The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the follow-up on the Giulietta series. The Giulia was built between the years 1962 en 1972. the presented Giulia 1300 TI was introduced in 1966. In the year 1972 the slightly modified "Giulia Nuova" was introduced. The latter was built until 1978.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia shows a very characteristic body design which was extremely modern in the early sixties. The shape of the car was very aerodynamic and very functional by design. This compact saloon offered more space in the interior and trunk as one would expect at first glance.
The roadholding capabilities of the Giulia are excellent. This family saloon is a real drivers-car. The excellent roadholding capabilities, the lively Alfa four-cylinder engine, the 5-speed gearbox and the servo'd disk-brakes all round guarantee lots of sporty driving fun. The Giulia was offered with cylinder capacities of 1300 cc. and 1600 cc.
