In order to increase the performances of the GranTurismo, this version's engine gas been tweaked to produce around 450 HP, while it's chassis and body have also suffered some important modifications in order to improve the car's aerodynamics. This elegant 2-door coupe therefore features an increased level of downforce, while its 4.7 litre V8 can take you above the 300 km/h speed limit (186 mph). Several weight savings - new drilled aluminium pedals, Alcantara trim for several interior elements, rather than leather - means the car is some 242 lbs lighter than the regular GranTurismo.

But although the optional roll cage, significant weight reduction, more powerful engine and higher price tag seemingly puts the MC Stradale on par with the Porsche 911 GT3, Maserati is adamant that its new stripped-out coupe is still a comfortable, everyday car.
