2014 Porsche 991 GT3
Seller's description
MODEL HISTORY
The Porsche 911 GT3 is a high performance version of the Porsche 911 sports car primarily intended for racing. It is a line of high-performance models, which began with the 1973 911 Carrera RS. The GT3 is named after the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Group GT3 class in which it was designed to compete.
A number of variations, designed for road and track duty, have been introduced since its launch in 1999.
Porsche introduced the 991 GT3 at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 featuring a new 3.8 litre direct fuel injection (DFI) flat-six engine developing 475 hp at 8,250 rpm, a Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel steering. The engine is based on the unit fitted in the 991 Carrera S, but shares only a few common parts. All other components, particularly the crankshaft and valve train, were specially adapted or developed for the 991 GT3. For example, the 991 GT3′s engine uses titanium connecting rods attached to forged piston, in order to allow the engine to reach up to 9,000 rpm. The dual-clutch gearbox is another feature specially developed for the car based on sequential manual transmissions used in racing cars
The 991 GT3 is claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds or less, and the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 126 mph. The GT3 has a claimed top speed of 195 mph with a lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife of 7 minutes and 25 seconds.

EXTERIOR
Presented in classic Carrara white this 991 looks every bit the lightweight racing design. The paint work remains all original, retaining its factory coat which contrasts effectively against the anthracite wheels. A generous spec extends to the outstanding Full LED lights with clear rear tail lights rounding up a clean, fresh styling scheme.
The car has avoided any excessive stone chips to the front or scratches / scuffs around the splitter or under body.
INTERIOR
Ordered to a incredibly high specification, the interior provides all the comforts for a road going race car while being beautifully finished with extended leather, alcantara and carbon trim. Both the single and double stitching leads an elegant map line around the dash and door cards and really accentuates the design triumph of the 991 cabin; perfectly presented with no fraying or distortion
The active alcantara sport seats show exacting original integrity whilst a matching stitched wheel presents as new.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Featuring a new 3.8 litre direct fuel injection (DFI) flat-six engine, forged pistons and titanium rods allow the engine to spin freely up to a heady 8,750 rpm limit. The car has had it’s first service on time and is performing as the lowly miles would suggest.
The PDK 7 speed box is the latest in Porsche rapid fire drivetrain development, punching through the gears in a seamless fashion.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The phenomenal PCCB braking system dominates the wheel well, barely disguised by anthracite optioned wheels that look just right against the white bodywork.
The unmarked wheels are complimented by Michelin’s finest – Pilot Sport Cup 2′s that show plenty of life.
