2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE

2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE

Seller's description

The Ferrari 599 was the marque’s two-seat flagship, replacing the 575M Maranello in 2006 as a 2007 model.
Styled by Pininfarina under the direction of Ferrari’s Frank Stephenson, the 599 GTB debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in Febuary 2006. It is named for it’s total engine displacement (5999 cc), Gran Turismo Berlinetta nature and the Fiorano circuit test track used by it’s creator.
The HGTE package shown on this example improves handling, includes a modified set-up with stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar as well as new calibration settings for the Delphi MagneRide shock absorbers, when in placed in its sportier settings. The ride height has also been lowered and therefore lowers the car’s center of gravity.
The package also includes optimised tyres featuring a compound that offers improved grip. Furthermore, the electronics have been changed; the gearbox shifts are faster in high-performance settings, while new engine software improves acceleration response.
The exhaust silencer has been modified to produce a more marked and thrilling sound under hard usage whilst still delivering just the right levels at cruising speed.
The exterior and interior have been upgraded with use of more carbon fiber components and new 20-inch alloys.

EXTERIOR

This brilliant GTB HGTE is finished in Biacno Avus (100) with Nero roof wings, creating a bold road presence without taking away from its beautifully sculpted lines. The paintwork presents in superb condition with all stripes that make up the unique livery, hand painted by Ferrari’s finest craftsmen.
Red brake calipers add to the exclusive, individual paint design. Carbon fibre Scuderia shields nestle on the front wings sporting a silver/grey prancing horse that neatly tie together with the colour of the roof.

INTERIOR

The cabin is beautifully appointed and fit for both GT cruising and track use. Lashings of carbon fibre cover the dash, door cards and centre console while being complemented with alcantara and leather meticulously stitched together using the finest Italian red and white thread. Stitched ‘HGTE’ on the headrests and a white rev counter complete the neatly and well thought out colour code package.
The interior is virtually un-marked with only a slight amount of wear to the drivers seat on the mid section and bolster. All carbon fibre and alcantara shows in impeccable condition with no marks or scratches.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The mechanical symphony begins with a press of the big red button on the steering wheel and the glorious (one of Ferraris finest engine) 6-litre V12 wakes with a crack. A blip of the throttle confirms the Enzo-derived engine has lost none of its aural ferocity, sounding every inch the 612 bhp hyper-GT.
At the time of its introduction, this was one of the few engines whose output exceeded 100 hp per liter of displacement without any sort of forced-induction mechanism such as supercharging or turbocharging. Its 608 N·m of torque was also a record for Ferrari’s GT cars.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

This car is mated to a set of un-marked 20-inch split rim alloys. Fitted with the correct Pirelli P Zero tyres for the car, they are made from a new compound specifically designed for the HGTE that improves grip without significantly harming wear. Tyres on this car show plenty of life remaining.
