1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 Touring
Seller's description
A ‘numbers match’, original colour RS 2.7 that’s one for driving. And driving hard and in all weathers, as per its original design brief.
• A very well sorted and solid car, prepared for Club racing in the ‘80’s on a no expense spared basis, and still drives superbly
• Coachwork just cosmetically restored and returned to correct Touring specification by ourselves, still in its original colour and looking great
• Originally sold in Italy to a ‘no extras’ base specification. Now fitted with all the right enthusiast extras. Recaros, LSD, 7 & 8J x 15 Fuchs with 50-series tyres, full front wing oil cooler
• Engine was rebuilt onto a brand new crankcase in 1987 at 80,000 kms, which is still fitted. Original ‘numbers match’ crankcase now recovered via Porsche GB in remarkably good and re-useable order from USA, supplied as a spare
• Full ownership history from Italy, detail history since import in 1982. Summary history spreadsheet available
• Owned for the last 17 years and 20,000 kms by a Historic car enthusiast and racer, always maintained in ‘track-day ready’ condition

• 2013. 116,000 kms. Southbound interior re-trim and correct Touring carpet set
• 2015. 118,000 kms. New ‘Power’ clutch, new driveshafts
• 2016. 120,000 kms. Coachwork re-finish to correct Touring specification, with new OE front spoiler, retains its original Ducktail
