By anyone’s standards, the Porsche 911 is something out of the ordinary. It is a car with a bloodline, a car that triggers emotions, a car with a soul.
In August 1993, as the very last 964 models were coming off the production line, Porsche informed its dealer network of a final and limited special series of 76 Exclusive Department-built Turbo Flachbau (Flat-nose) vehicles. Of those, just 12 cars were to be right hand drive.
The X84 package included the front wings and pop-up headlights derived from the Porsche 968, and the modified front spoilers also had air intakes for cooling. The rear wheel housings had air intake shafts similar to those of the Porsche 959. The highlight of the car was its enhanced X88 engine performance package which was included by fitment of an enlarged turbocharger, camshafts and changed valve timing, finely worked cylinder heads, modified inlet manifolds and intermediate flanges, and an extra oil cooler and 4-pipe exhaust system. This car produced an incredible 385 bhp.
This special vehicle formed part of an extensive private collection, and has never been offered for sale before. Not only is it possibly the nearest thing to a new Porsche 964 Turbo, it is also one of the rarest Porsche cars on the planet.it has now been prepared for its new owner to cherish.
