1993 Aston Martin Virage Convertible Volante
Seller's description
The Aston Martin Virage made its debut at the Birmingham Motorshow in 1988. Designed by John Heffernan and Ken Greeley it was praised for its fresh contemporary styling. It proved to be quieter and more comfortable than the earlier V8's and was indeed the first truly new Aston Martin in nearly 20 years.
The new V8 engine was a development of the tried and tested 5.3 litre V8, but with new cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder for better breathing and to overcome power losses inevitable with the use of catalytic converters.
The Aston Martin Virage Volante features a 4 OHC V8, 5,340cc Engine, with 330 bhp at 6000 rpm. 3-Speed Automatic Gearbox. Front ventilated discs and rear solid discs. This car has a top speed of 155 mph, with a 0-60 mph time os just 6 seconds.
Our stunning car is a 1993 K Registered Virage Volante & has covered 59,000 miles by 6 previous owners.

The Virage Volante convertible debuted at the 1990 Birmingham Motor Show as a strict two-seater, but a 2+2 version was shown at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show. Production examples, beginning in 1992, were all to feature 2+2 seating. Sources claim that between 224 and 233 examples had been produced when the series ended in 1996. The last 11 example (hence the difference between 224 to 233) already had the naturally aspirated 1995 version motor of the later V8 and V8 LWB Volante with the improved four-speed and overdrive Torqueflite automatic and 354 hp (264 kW).
A new V8 Volante Long Wheelbase, with styling based on the V8 Coupe was built from 1997 to 2000 on a lengthened chassis. 63 V8 Volante LWB cars were built.
