1973 Porsche 911 2.4S

Seller's description

The E Series 2.4 911 S was very much the 'top of the range' model (above the entry level 911T and mid range 911E). The use of mechanical fuel injection (MFI) developed jointly by Bosch and Porsche helped the 2.4 litre engine develop 190bhp. It also featured an improved transmission derived from the Porsche 908 race car.
In 1972 the decision was made to change the position of the oil tank from the behind the right rear wheel to in front of it, changing weight distribution to offset some of the weight of the engine positioned over the rear axle, and so offer a handling improvement when close to the limit.
Porsche installed the oil filler flap on the right rear quarter panel, but this was subsequently changed back for model year 1973. Porsche produced just 1430 of these 911s - making them a rare example of this iconic sports car.
This Light Yellow (6262) example has been subject to a just completed Concours restoration and has the original extremely desirable Black leatherette/corduroy sport seats with headrests.
Chassis number 9112300805 is a left hand drive example with the 915 5-speed gearbox, 15" Fuchs wheels, and the original Blaupunkt radio.
Complete with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and incredibly detailed photographic file of the total restoration process, this landmark 911 has been returned to a Concours standard with fanatical attention to detail and authenticity.
A rare find indeed.
