1970 Citroen DS 20 Familiale
Seller's description
After a long period of design and development, the Citroen DS was eventually introduced at the 1955 Paris Motor Show. The audience was stunned on the spot by its vanguard design and the numerous innovative technical features, so that during the show alone almost 12,000 orders were recorded. But it was not just the design that was convincing. The DS scored with numerous innovative features, so that the 'Goddess' soon became more of a statement than just a vehicle. This rare variant of the DS is a Familiale, which, unlike the Break, has a different underbody and offers up to 8 seats, of which three are retractable in the bottom of the back of the car. This way it gains more space than any other sedan has to offer. It easily allows transportation of a stroller without loss of trunk volume.
