1966 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto
Seller's description
The Duetto, in Germany better known as Alfa Spider, was introduced to the market in 1966 and was produced until 1969. When it was introduced its design was not met with much enthusiasm. The difference in design from its predecessor model, the Giulia Spider, required more acceptance. However, Alfa Romeo had a good start with the Duetto, selling ca. 3000 units by the end of 1966. Today the timeless elegant shape, here still with the presumably most beautiful tail, is indisputably an icon of automotive engineering. This marvelous Alfa also knows to impress with an engine featuring a double overhead camshaft. With its 109 hp the 1600 model has enough power to deliver a sporty performance on country roads with ease and pleasure.
This model was imported from the Netherlands in 2014 and was restored by a renowned Alfa Romeo specialist. A lot of new parts, various invoices are at hand, were built in. The spider is in good condition, both in optical as well as in technical terms, as it had only made ca. 500km after restoration.
With its new tires, a late TÜV inspection, and H-license plates for historic vehicles. It is ready for registration. Just get in and enjoy.
