Seller's description

The E30 3-series was manufactured between 1982 and 1993. Throughout its lifecycle, 2 339 520 examples were made. History of BMW’s 3 Series dates back to the 1970’s. The first generation, codenamed E21, was launched in 1975 and was meant to be a worthy successor to the legendary 2002. Its successor, E30, was available in four body styles: 2- and 4-door saloon, 5-door estate and a 2-door convertible. There was also a special edition cabriolet built by Baur. The car could be specified with either 2- or 4-wheel drive (in 325iX guise) in conjunction with a 3- or 4-speed automatic or a 4- or 5-speed manual gearbox. The design of the E30 stood the test of time. Its characteristic bonnet and trademark four round headlamps contribute to its distinctive looks, which still remains modern despite its age. Its silhouette is definitely sporty. The designer’s aim was to make it look different to the upcoming main contender, the Mercedes 190, nicknamed “Baby Benz”.
BMW E30 318i Cabrio offered by the vintage and classic car auction company Ardor Auctions is an interesting proposition for those who look for a classic convertible from the late 80’s and early 90’s. The car’s body and paint have been fully restored, making it look incredibly attractive. Current owner fitted it with a new folding roof, too, which is incredibly important in a vintage soft top vehicle. Mechanically, the BMW is maintained in a very good condition. It had all its liquids and consumables replaced recently. The interior has some signs of use and a distinct patina to it, which perfectly fits the aura of a classic BMW. Presented 318i E30 is one of the best and most affordable ways to enter into the ownership of a vintage convertible car.
