Original factory delivery options of
M650 Sunroof

Electric windows
Tinted Glass
103,000 documented miles only, engine fully dismantled and rebuilt.
The vehicle retains all its original parts, thus keeping the DNA intact of such an important RHD early S. The wheels all matching date stamped , the engine cases are the rare 7R version which were the stronger case used in the late 2.4S production, numbers match engine, all original intake system includes the correct 013 pump, intake stacks and all other period correct parts. The interior, steering wheel, instruments and super-rare double locking Sports Recaro seats. We decided to replace the carpets, as they were looking a bit scruffy, but the original carpets have been retained to store with the car. Even the original soundproofing material remains on the floors intact.
The original service book stamped by Hexagon of Highgate, London, presented in its correct maroon service document folder. Original toolkit, jack and compressor complete the often lost detail pieces.
The engine was completely dismantled and rebuilt with all new consumable parts. It was also decided to complete the rebuild by using a new set of original Mahle Pistons and cylinders. Since the comprehensive rebuild, the vehicle has covered less than 500 miles, and drives beautifully.
The original Sportomatic gearbox, and all other associated parts (mostly unique to the S model) have been restored and the performance is stunning . The flexibility of the engine and ratios compliment each other perfectly - the vehicle can be driven from standstill to 80mph in one gear !, fabulous for country lane spirited driving !
The condition and originality of this vehicle is testament to the care and attention by its former keepers. It’s rare to find such a highly original car, that retains its DNA and patina that cannot be replicated when project vehicles and partly stripped vehicles are ‘restored’ for resale, this car represents the pinnacle of the pre-73 models
It is thought that the number of UK RHD 2.4S models that remain in existence are in the low ‘teens, this vehicle represents an important piece of UK Porsche history and will continue as an appreciating asset in future years, especially as it remains the only RHD Sportomatic 2.4S in existence.
