EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
Finished in X4X4 Speed yellow, arguably the best colour for the eloquent lines of the 993, this Factory C00 supplied Carrera Cup car is in extraordinary original condition. As if it had left Porsche Motorsport 20 days ago rather than nearly 20 years, it defies its age and intended use.

Quite unbelievably it is still finished in its original coat of paint and this designated race car still retains all of its factory fitted panels. Plucked out of a collection it is believed this Cup car has never been subject to anything other than light recreational track use rather than bumper to bumper competitive racing and as such displays only a peppering of stone chips to its wheel arches and a perfectly aged patina. Clearly dry stored over its minimal mileage, the car presents as quite the unique prospect having never been adorned with a livery and in its original factory build spec.

INTERIOR
Stripped to a bare minimum the interior mirrors the original condition of the exterior and true to form as it rolled out of the factory. The sole Recaro bucket seat is still in place and in excellent condition retaining its production sticker and matching shell number to the car neatly placed under the seat alongside its Recaro date stamped sticker on the side. The controls are tight as you’d expect with such minimal mileage with the only lightest of wear to the MOMO alcantara wheel, the tilted speedo showing just 12,723kms. The Matter cage ensures a rigid body and satisfies safety concerns along side the built in battery cut off system. Race tuned Motronic ECUs wear their original and date stamped factory stickers placed behind the drives seat and stowed in the front storage compartment, the only addition a hydraulic hand brake plumbed in to the rear braking system.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The M64/70 engine sits as new in an immaculate engine bay having never been removed, changed or altered in any way since built by Porsche Motorsport. Last serviced just 500kms ago to include, engine, gearbox and brake fluid the mechanical health of this race born car is in perfect working order.

The noise of this flat 6 is pure theatre, totally visceral and dominates the entire driving experience to include crackles, bangs and pops on the over run.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Timeless Centrelock Cup wheels with blanked lug holes; 8.5 inch to front and 10 inch to rear present beautifully with original Speedline for Porsche stamps on the outer dish. Yokohama Advan A050 semi slick rubber with good profile and tread depth. Brakes present in extremely good order, with no cracking, warping or pad deposit build in the discs whilst the calipers appear to present in their original black paint free of scuffs.

HISTORY FILE
This C00 Carrera Cup racer has remained in a private collection for almost all of it’s life and run as an occasional track toy. Although the car has no competitive provenance, the condition and standing of this genuine 001 Cup car cannot be questioned in a market demanding original untouched cars.
